The New Zealand Kenpo Karate Association (NZKKA) is based in Porirua, Wellington. We were one of the first clubs to open in NZ teaching the full American Kenpo curriculum. We hope this site will help you discover the art of Kenpo (the Parker system). We welcome all contact from newcomers.
We belong to the Parker/Planas lineage and thus teach the art as taught by Richard "Huk" Planas. Mr Planas was a long time student of Mr Parker's and one of a handful to be graded to 7th degree Black Belt before Mr Parker's death in 1990. He is considered by many to be the most knowledgeable on Kenpo's rules and principles.
